What Is Acquired Ptosis?

Acquired ptosis is a condition where the upper eyelid droops lower than normal, partially covering the eye. Unlike congenital ptosis (present from birth), acquired ptosis develops over time — often due to aging, contact lens wear, eye surgery, or muscle or nerve issues. It can make you look tired or older and may even interfere with vision in severe cases.

Who Can Benefit from Upneeq?

Adults with acquired (non-congenital) droopy eyelids
Patients who want a non-surgical alternative to eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty)
Those who feel their eyelids make them look tired or older
Patients whose drooping eyelids affect their field of vision
Important: Upneeq is a prescription medication. A consultation with one of our doctors is required to determine if Upneeq is appropriate for your condition.
